Fernando Lopez
Fernando Lopez is an O2X On-Site Human Performance Specialist specializing in Mental Performance. He applies his background in sport psychology and resilience training to help individuals and teams perform at their best in high-pressure environments. Fernando’s approach centers on three key concepts: attention, acceptance, and emotion regulation, which he believes provide individuals with clear direction for managing stress and optimizing performance when it matters most.
For more than a decade, Fernando has worked with Soldiers, athletes, students, and professionals across the military, higher education, athletics, and private sectors. His career includes serving as a Master Resilience Trainer with the U.S. Army, supporting Army-wide programs and curriculum development at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and teaching as an Assistant Professor at John F. Kennedy University. These experiences have reinforced his belief that high performance is not just about outcomes, but also about cultivating resilience, purpose, and strong relationships along the way.
Fernando holds a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. He is also an approved mentor with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Outside of work, Fernando enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, performing improv, and spending time with his family.
